Play a 'Go Fish' style game with a set of cards containing affixes along with an assortment of root words.

Directions:

Cut and laminate cards. Have students shuffle cards, deal out 5 to each player and place remaining cards in the middle. Make pairs between the cards matching the red side with a blue side. Only correctly used affixes to words are valid pairs. Each player takes turns asking for either an affix or root word to make the pair. If the other player does not have the card the player draws from the middle stack. Play continues until there are no more cards left.
